Welcome to the longest book in the DC Stars series! As you start reading, you’ll see that Grant and Amelia’s story takes place over ten years. To help with timeline purposes, I’ve included inserts that track the progression of seasons, as well as what season the chapter is in. I hope this helps with keeping track of where in the DC Stars universe you are! The final chapters that take place in the current season happen eighteen months after Sin Bin’s ending, which coincides with the epilogue at the end of Sin Bin.

You’ll see scenes from previous books explained through Grant’s point of view, and some dialogue and details have been edited/condensed for readability.

This book can be read alone, and if this is your first book of mine, here’s a quick catchup of the characters and hockey players you’ll find referenced ahead!

Maverick Miller and Emmy Hartwell have their own book, Face Off, which is book one in the DC Stars series. It’s a dislike to lovers, rivals with benefits, black cat x golden retriever story full of banter and spice.

Piper Mitchell and Liam Sullivan have their own book, Power Play, which is book two in the DC Stars series. It’s a grumpy x sunshine, goalie x rinkside reporter, teach me, accidental marriage story.

Hudson Hayes and Madeline Galloway have their own book, Slap Shot, which is book three in the DC Stars series. It’s a single mom x hockey player, sunshine x sunshine, slow burn story.

Riley Mitchell and Lexi Armstrong have their own book, Hat Trick, which is book four in the DC Stars series. It’s a former sunshine x sunshine, hockey player x athletic trainer, friends-with-benefits story.

Coach Saunders and Hannah Everett have their own book, Sin Bin, which is book five in the DC Stars series. It’s a single dad, figure skater (his player’s sister!) x hockey coach story.
